Who we are

This website (lgpuricare.net) is operated by Steve Hooi, trading as LG PuriCare, an authorized LG reseller in Malaysia (License LGM105371). For the purposes of the PDPA, we are the party responsible for the personal data you provide through this site. You can reach us at saleslgpuricare@gmail.com or on WhatsApp/phone at +603-9766 7348.

Independently operated by an authorized LG reseller. This is not the official LG Malaysia website. When you purchase, subscribe to, or use an LG product, app or service (for example LG ThinQ™), LG Electronics processes your personal data under its own privacy policy, available at lg.com/my/privacy. This policy covers only the data handled by us as a reseller through this website.

Personal data we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the enquiry form, or contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, we collect the details you choose to share — typically your name, phone number, location (state or area), the product you are interested in, and any message you send us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical and usage data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the source that referred you to us. This is gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies, analytics & advertising).

We do not ask for sensitive personal data, identity-card or passport numbers, or payment/card details through this website. Any documents required to sign an LG subscription or purchase contract are handled separately as part of that process.

How we use your data

We use the personal data you provide to:

• respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote or product recommendation;
• arrange delivery, installation, servicing and after-sales care;
• send you offers and promotions where you have asked us to or otherwise agreed, and which you can opt out of at any time;
• understand how visitors use our site and measure the performance of our marketing and advertising; and
• meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

Legal basis & consent

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent — given when you submit an enquiry or contact us — and to take steps at your request before entering into any arrangement, as well as for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us; doing so will not affect processing already carried out, but may mean we can no longer respond to your enquiry.

Cookies, analytics & advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to work. We also use analytics and advertising tools to understand our audience and improve our campaigns:

• Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used; and
• Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.

These tools set cookies and may share limited data — such as your IP address and how you interact with the site — with Google, which may process it on servers outside Malaysia. You can control this by:

• installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on; and

How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:

• with service providers who help us run our business — for example email delivery, secure cloud storage, and the analytics and advertising services above — and only so they can provide those services to us;
• with LG Electronics or its authorized channel where necessary to fulfil your order, installation, warranty or subscription; and
• with government or regulatory authorities where we are required to do so by law.

Storage, security & retention

Enquiries are stored using reputable third-party cloud services with reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so while we take reasonable steps to protect your data we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep your personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, after which we delete or anonymise it. Because some of our providers (such as Google) operate outside Malaysia, your data may be transferred and processed abroad with appropriate protection in place.

Your rights under the PDPA

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you may:

• request access to the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or out of date;
• withdraw your consent or ask us to stop sending you marketing;
• ask us to limit how we process your data; and
• ask questions about how your data is handled.

Children

This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and any material changes will be posted on this page.
